Little Sonshine

About Us

At Little Sonshine, we offer a safe and nurturing environment that focuses on your child's whole development. We are a Christian, non-denominational school that introduces foundational concepts to children through our preschool, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and Kindergarten classes. While children master these skills by year-end, all are introduced to them at their own pace. Our programs focus on holistic child development in a nurturing environment, emphasizing both academic standards and the exploration of God's creation. With small class sizes, our teachers provide personalized attention to meet each student's unique needs. Your child will learn about God’s love and His word through Bible stories and songs. Our compassionate teachers help your child gain self-confidence during their most important years.

Mrs. Sullivan

Co-Director / Principal

Mrs. Sullivan started Little Sonshine School out of her home over 32 years ago. She opened the school to offer a safe, loving Christian environment where she could care for children while their parents were working. Word got out and the growing school moved to Spring Ave., and then eventually to the current home for the last 27 years on the campus of Grace Hill Church (previously Morgan Hill Presbyterian). Mrs. Sullivan’s passion for teaching young children has allowed her to create a learning environment where children learn about God’s love as well as the world around them through hands-on experiences that foster the development of the whole child in an academic setting.

Mrs. Piccardo

Co-Director

Mrs. Piccardo has over 27 years experience working with children ages infant through 5th grade. She has worked in elementary school extended care, volunteered in her church nursery with infants, and worked with preschool-age children from ages 2-6. After her daughter attended Little Sonshine, Mrs. Piccardo worked her way from classroom aide to TK/Kindergarten teacher to co-director with Mrs. Sullivan. Her passion for hands-on learning has helped her to create an environment that fosters experiences that help to develop the whole child as they learn about the world around them that God created while they are in a loving environment that encourages and builds self-esteem, respect, and character.
